Projects Handled Project 1: UMM AL HOUL IWPP (POWER & WATER) Consultant: MOTT MACDONALD LTD Client: HITACHI ZOOSAN CORPRATION Position: QC Inspector – Electrical & Instrumentation Duration: Aug’15- till date • Inward material inspection and document reviews. • Inspection for calibration of instruments & valves as per approved procedures. • Inspection for installation of pressure gauges/transmitters, temperature gauges/transmitters, flow transmitters etc and valves as per piping & instrument drawings, location layouts and hook-up drawings. • Pressure testing of instrument tubing. • Inspection of E&I equipment for Explosion Proofing requirements as per Zone classification & Project Requirements. • Inspection of Normal & Emergency Light Systems as per project drawings and specifications. • Inspection of Emergency Shutdown Systems as per project drawings & specifications. • Ability to analyze and understand clients needs to focus on quality, precision & punctual delivery of results. • Plan & Co-ordinate quality inspection activities. • Implementation of quality plan at site thus ensuring conformance to client’s requirements. • Conducting quality tool box talks. • Attend weekly progress, QA/QC review meetings with client. • Prepare material discrepancy reports for procured material. • Recording & compilation of punch points. • Raise site quality alerts, CARs & NCRs for observed discrepancies. • Maintain project quality logs and tracking sheets. • Inspection and monitoring of cable tray, cable support and UPS installations. • Inspection and monitoring of Earthing & Lightning for the total plant. • Witness the pre-installation calibration of Transmitters. • Inspection & Monitoring of Junction box, Field instruments, Control panel, Consoles installation. • Inspection of Electrical equipment testing CT, VT, Circuit breaker, Energy meter, Transformer, Busbar testing and Cable Hi-Pot test. • Implementation and monitoring of QA/QC activities in sites accordance with Specifications, approved CQP, ITP, Procedures and Method statements. • Carryout all inspection and test requirements of the project at all stages as per the ITP and contract requirements. • Reviewing drawings and maintain pertinent records of inspection and test till the end of contract. • Liaise with the Client for the conduct of day-to-day quality related activities of the project. • Inspection of 8MVA Transformer, cable tray, cable support and UPS installations. • Inspection and monitoring of Earthing & Lightning for the total plant. • Witness the pre-installation calibration of Transmitters. • Inspection & Monitoring of Junction box, Field instruments, Control panel, Consoles installation. • Coordinating with the Site personnel for installation of plant, substation lighting and LV/HV Cables up to rating of 11kV. • Coordinating with site personnel’s for testing of LV/HV Motors and LV/HV Cables up to rating of 11kV(Insulation Resistance Test, Winding Resistance Test, DC HIPOT Test.) • Monitoring the required tests and record inspections and tests made as per ITP and Contract Specifications. • Liaise with the Client's representatives for the conduct of day-to-day quality related project activities. • Guidance to site staff in submission of materials for approval, request for inspection, Red line mark-up drawings. • Implementation of Contract Quality Plan (CQP) and Quality Control Plan (QCP). • Preparation of Method statements and Quality forms as appropriate for the project. • Carryout incoming materials inspection and follow for approval. • Witness testing and site construction activities, equipments and materials inspection. • Inspection and Testing of Switchgears (Insulation Resistance Test, Contact Resistance Test, HIPOT Test for Bus bars). • Co-ordinate with project coordinator for specific material approvals. • Coordination with client representatives and sub-contractors. • Control, Maintain and monitoring of Quality documents and records. • Prepare quality control plan and project check sheet formats and obtain approval from client. • Preparation of inspection reports and check sheets. • Preparation of test packs / final dossier for client submission/approval. • Conduct line walk with client representative for the preparation of punch list and coordinate with execution team for necessary close out. • Responsible for punch list clearing to ensure that the installations of instruments are complete and acceptance by the client.
