Mechanical Project Engineer TATA POWER SPECIAL PROJECTS, RAIGARH (2X300MW) {JULY 2015 to Present} • In-charge of erection and field trouble shooting for the rotary equipment’s in TG area which includes BFP, Erection & Alignment activities Condensate Extraction Pump with Motor Oil Purifying system, AOP, EOP, Jacking Oil Pump and CCCW Pump. • In-charge of erection and field trouble shooting for the static equipment’s in TG area which include deaerator, HP & LP heaters, MOT and miscellaneous tanks. • In-charge of erection and field trouble shooting for TG piping which includes HP piping like MSL,HRH,CRH.BFD and LP piping like CCCW,CEP, Lube oil piping,etc. • Scheduling the system completion activities in accordance with the startup sequence in coordination with commissioning team. • Monitoring the daily progress and reporting to Area project manager. • Chasing the system completion activities, leading the daily coordination meeting with all the disciplines Mechanical, Instrument, Electrical and Civil. • Involved in planning, assessment, implementation and review of milestones which involves functional changes. • Ability to understand a wide range of processes through review of P&IDs, operating instructions, etc and to be able to communicate this to a variety of levels within an organization. Mechanical Project Engineer TATA POWER, KALINGANAGAR (3X67.5MW) {JAN 2012 to JULY 2015} • Working with Field Engineering team for the coordination with subcontractors, vendors to resolve any field trouble during the construction and pre-commissioning of the project. • Coordinating with the vendors for submission of drawings to corporate engineering for approval. • In-charge of erection and field trouble shooting for the package equipment like LP piping of whole plant, CST, LDO tanks, CW PUMPS, COMPRESSORS and other equipment in compressed air system, HVAC ducts, Chillers, Cooling Tower, AHU, air washers and its other equipment, and all other miscellaneous pumps. • Monitoring the daily progress and reporting to Area project manager. • Scheduling the system completion activities in accordance with the startup sequence in coordination with commissioning team. • Finalization of BBU and rates for all project. • Scrutinizing and certification of invoice submitted by subcontractors. • Preparing monthly and weekly reports for all project, Vendor development and sourcing. • Invite quotations from contractors, etc. • Preparing material reconciliation statement. • Checking bills of contractors and certifying bills. • Chasing the system completion activities, leading the daily coordination meeting with all the disciplines Mechanical, Instrument, Electrical and Civil. • Involved in planning, assessment, implementation and review of milestones which involves functional changes. • Expediting- Involved with discussion with contractors for available of materials required on site for erection. • Incident Management- Handling escalated incidents and involved in day-to-day activities that involves workforce management and responsibility. • Ability to understand a wide range of processes through review of P&IDs, operating instructions, etc and to be able to communicate this to a variety of levels within an organization.
